The name and label of this wine were inspired by the story of the Teste di Moro (Moor’s heads). According to the legend, a girl fell in love with a Moor, who returned her feelings. Despite the passion, this love story was destined to be brief.The girl eventually discovered that her beloved had to go back to the East, where his wife and children were waiting for him. Consumed by anger and jealousy, the girl murdered the Moor while he was asleep, decapitating him.The man's head would later be used as a pot for a basil plant.
